Shark River

The Shark River Bridge is a bascule span bridge serving NJ Transit’s North Jersey Coast Line. Work at this critical and historic bridge included structural steel repairs/installation on the motor deck and extension of walkway; replacement, repair and upgrade of the bridge machinery, main drive motor, brakes, emergency standby motor, clutch, control gears, and electrical power and control circuits. IEW Construction Group deftly managed work around scheduled track and marine outages to complete this project.
