NJDOT Steel Maintenance Contracts

Since the late 90’s, IEW Construction Group has managed yearly NJDOT Steel Maintenance Contracts throughout the state of New Jersey. Work under this contract underscores IEW’s long term relationship with the Ironworkers and skilled tradesmen, as well as our versatility, equipment fleet and rapid response times. One project of note involved a tractor trailer ramming into one of the legs of an overhead sign structure on Route 1-9, buckling the support and sending the corner of the sign structure down to rest on the highway. All lanes of traffic on this crucial highway leading into New York city were shut down. IEW was able to dismantle the sign and remove it so that normal traffic could resume. IEW Construction Group also recently wrapped up rehabilitation of the piers and bearings on New Jersey’s westernmost bridge in Cape May.
