NJDOT Moveable Bridge Maintenance Contracts

Since 2001, IEW Construction Group has specialized in moveable bridge work such as lubrication maintenance, cable inspections and steel and machinery repair under the NJDOT’s Moveable Bridge Maintenance Contracts. Under this contract, IEW Construction Group takes care of nine bascule span bridges, ten vertical lift bridges, and one tunnel. The bridges range in locations all over the state, from Bergen County to Cape May County. A majority of the bascule bridges (which swing upwards from a pivot point) may be seen along the roads at the Jersey Shore, such as the Route 37 Barnegat Bay Bridge in Toms River.
